LOL The website is in very early stages, but I hope to be able to share the sort of info you shared in your Comicking and How To Make Manga blog series. Gotta get better at it myself first! Nothing more discouraging than finding a post telling you how to do something but the examples look like an eight-year-old did them.
I really feel that it's possible to make quality art with free software, which might open up opportunities to make manga, graphic novels and webcomics to people who can't drop (or beg) $700 for Photoshop. Maybe a bit more labor-intensive, but possible. Art shouldn't just be for the affluent.
